On Reframing

In 2024, the Estonian Academy of Arts, together with Tallinn University, initiated a research project titled ‘How to Reframe Monuments’ that aims to go beyond the removal of Soviet spatial heritage and find ways to preserve it through recontextualisation.

Gregor Taul introduces the undercurrents and case studys of the project, that might allow for more nuanced as well as clear-eyed views to recent past.
